As CEO of C9, Michael brings a wealth of leadership experience and a proven track record in leading high growth companies. Michael comes to C9 from Greenplum, the Big Data division of EMC. Michael has an impressive execution track record as former CEO of Ingrian Networks (acquired by Safenet), CEO of Outerbay (acquired by HP), VP of the Internet Division at Veritas, and VP of Data Warehousing at Oracle, where he led the acquisitions of Thinking Machines, OneMeaning, and Carleton Corporation.
Michael has been in the analytics business for over 20 years, served on the boards of Acunu and FireEye, and keynoted at a variety of conferences, including EMC World, Oracle Open World, Green Data Center Conference, Data Science Series, and many others.
Michael studied Computer Science and Slavic Languages and Literatures at University of California, Berkeley.
Andy Twigg Chief Technology Officer
Andy is an expert in Big Data algorithmics. Until recently he was a computer science research fellow at Oxford University, with interests in distributed, streaming, approximate and large-scale analytics and machine learning algorithms. He was a co founder and CTO of Acunu, a startup doing real-time Big Data analytics with Cassandra. He has a PhD from Cambridge and has worked at industrial research labs including Microsoft Research and Thomson (now Technicolor) Research.
Justin Shriber Vice President of Products
Justin Shriber is the Vice President of Products at C9 where he is responsible for Product Management, Product Marketing and Strategy. For the past two decades, Justin has focused on helping companies accelerate growth and profitability by building and executing strategies that align marketing, sales and service with the needs of the customer. At Oracle he headed Oracle’s CRM OnDemand organization and at Siebel, he was one of the early pioneers of the cloud, leading product teams responsible for delivering the first generation of SaaS applications. Prior to the work that he did at Siebel and Oracle, Justin was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Justin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Economics from the University of California Los Angeles.
David Thompson Vice President of Engineering
As VP of engineering at C9, David is responsible for leading the engineering and operations teams. David is excited to focus on growing and scaling the analytics platform to fully enable C9’s customers being data driven in Predictive Sales.
David comes to C9 from Deem (formerly known as Rearden Commerce) where as VP of Engineering he led the team that developed a high-scale transactional SAAS platform that provided ecommerce sites relevant travel, offers, and procurement content. Prior to Deem, David developed his technical and leadership skills at OuterBay (acquired by HP) and Oracle.
Bill Flynn Vice President of Sales
As VP of Sales for C9, Bill is responsible for growing the C9 customer base and helping current customers maximize their revenue potential with C9 analytic applications.
Bill joins C9 from Informatica where he led the South Central Major Accounts. Bill started his sales career at Information Builders where he held a number of sales executive positions including VP of Sales at iWay Software for North America. Bill led the Outerbay North American sales (acquired by HP) and successfully integrated Outerbay worldwide into HP.
Bill holds a BBA in Accounting from St. Edwards University in Austin, TX.
Stephen Lucas Chief Financial Officer
As CFO of C9, Stephen brings broad business leadership experience from his tenure at both public and private companies. Stephen joins C9 from Grass Valley, a leading provider of technology solutions for broadcast media companies. At Grass Valley, Stephen was Vice President of Finance and Global Head of Sales Operations and a customer of C9.
Prior to that, Stephen was CEO of Dimidium, a service provider based in Australia. He was also Vice President of Finance at Micromuse, a provider of network management software, which was acquired by IBM. In the earlier part of his career, he was a Manager at KPMG.
Stephen holds a BA from the Australian National University and an MBA from TRIUM (a joint MBA issued by New York University, The London School of Economics and HEC Paris). He is also a Chartered Accountant.
